At the Serbian Open Tennis Challenger, the first round matches and the remaining qualifying matches are scheduled for today.
Despite the rainfall forecast, all planned matches were played on the first day of the tournament. Austrian Maximilian Neuchrist beating Brazilian Tomas Bellucci, once 21st player in the world, was the biggest upset. After almost three hours of great tennis, Neuchrist won after a turnover, 5:6, 7:6 and 6:4.
The Challenger is again classified as category 80 (80 ATP points), what attracted tennis players from 24 countries, from four continents.
Three BiH tennis players, Andrej Nedić, Vladan Tadić and Dražen Petrović, finished the competition already in the first round.
